Situation:

After living in the house for over 20 years, a couple decided it was time to sell the house and move into an 800 sq. ft. condominium near the Beaches. Therefore, the couple had to sell the majority of their belongings. The couple also had an elderly Aunt, and when she passed a way they had to divest her personal items.

Solution:

SCS was hired to arrange a contents sale. SCS arranged a 3-day contents sale in order to sell such a large variety of furniture and other household items.

Result:

The majority of the furniture was sold in the first few hours of the sale commencing, including bedroom sets, living room furniture, kitchen tables with quality items from well known designers including The Art Shoppe, DeBoer’s, Ridpaths, Decorium, Elte, and Heritage Furniture. Other items sold included: numerous fine, hand knotted carpets (sizes range from 8 X 10, 10 X 16, 9 X 12), oak & rosewood wall unit, French Ormolu tables, Andrew Malcolm sideboard, teak dining room table & chairs, teak bookshelves, desk & wall unit, accent chairs, leather recliner, recliner with heat & vibrator, down filled sofa & matching chair with ottoman, glass top kitchen table & 4 leather chairs, single beds, glass & rosewood accent tables, records, some books, vanity with mirror, gentleman chest, coffee & end tables, night tables, assortment of lamps, mirrors & Art (oils, prints, lithographs), antique icons, chandeliers, various Asian items, bronzes, some collectibles, sterling & jewellery, military items (WWII Japanese samurai sword, German naval dagger, French & Australian bayonet), linen, clothing, electronics, exercise equipment (home gym, treadmill, vibrating machine), Christmas items, hand & power tools, motorcycle helmets, fans, heaters, garage & garden items, cordless lawnmower, shop vac, power washer, and a patio set.
